WebSurveyMaster: August 2011

WebSurveyMaster is happy to announce the latest enhancement to our flagship product.

Quizzes, Tests, and Survey Scoring

Our new powerful scoring tools allow you to create quizzes and tests ranging from the most basic student homework quiz or embedded web site quiz, to training course exams, to complex psychological or medical questionnaires with derived conclusions and recommendations.

There are two modes in which survey answers can be scored or weighted.

Score Questions, allows you to give an answer key for the questions you want scored. You can allow the survey participant to check their answers as they complete each question, and at the end of the survey you can show them their results. We allow questions to be grouped into different sections with an optional weighting percentage for each group. The results for all participants are viewable within our analysis tools and are included in the spreadsheet export. This mode is suitable for anyone who wants to create an online test where the answers are either correct or incorrect.

Answer Weighting, allows you to assign a weighting to each answer choice. Questions can be grouped into different sections with an optional weighting percentage for each group. The results for all participants are viewable within our analysis tools and are included in the spreadsheet export. This mode is suitable when there is no right or wrong answer to a question, but the combined weightings within each group or as a total can be used to derive conclusions or recommendations, such as in a personality type questionnaire. We provide scoring and range variables that allow you to hide and display whole paragraphs of text depending on the the weighted score, allowing you to customize your recommendations and conclusions to each survey taker.

SurveyInvitationV1 Service

SurveyInvitationV1 Service

You have created a service.

To test this service, you will need to create a client and use it to call the service. You can do this using the svcutil.exe tool from the command line with the following syntax:

svcutil.exe http://www.websurveymaster.com/WebSvcs/SurveyInvitationV1.svc?wsdl

You can also access the service description as a single file:

http://www.websurveymaster.com/WebSvcs/SurveyInvitationV1.svc?singleWsdl

This will generate a configuration file and a code file that contains the client class. Add the two files to your client application and use the generated client class to call the Service. For example:

C#

class Test
{
 static void Main() { SurveyInvitationV1Client client = new SurveyInvitationV1Client(); // Use the 'client' variable to call operations on the service. // Always close the client.
        client.Close();
    }
}

Visual Basic

Class Test
 Shared Sub Main()
 Dim client As SurveyInvitationV1Client = New SurveyInvitationV1Client()
 ' Use the 'client' variable to call operations on the service. ' Always close the client.
 client.Close()
 End Sub
End Class
